Autographics Designs can design and manufacture a wide range of Health & Safety Signs for use in various settings and have been designed to comply with BS5499 standards as set out by The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996. Mandatory sign are used to dictate behaviour that must be adhered to whilst on-site. All mandatory signs must consist of a white graphical symbol with a blue background and only display what action is required. Mandatory signs are not necessarily required by law, but may be depending on the placement and situation.
Warning signs are those which warn employees and visitors of potential risk, hazard or dangers in a specific area and are important to reduce accidents within the workplace. They must consist of a black graphical symbol and a yellow background with a bold black border.
Prohibition signs are used to display prohibited behaviour which may cause or increase the risk of danger to a persons. Prohibition signs must consist of a black graphical symbol on a white background contained in a red circle with a red crossbar.
Fire Safety Signs
Fire safety signs are used to display the location of fire fighting equipment within the premises and are vital so that staff and visitors know what action to take in the event of a fire. Fire safety signs must consist of a white graphical symbol with a red square background.
Safe Condition Signs
Safe condition signs are used to indicate escape routes and emergency exits in the event of an emergency and are vital in ensuring that staff and visitors are able to quickly and safely exit the building when needed. They can also be used to outline where first-aid kits are located within the building which is essential for effective first-aid to be administered if required. Safe condition signs usually consist of a white graphical symbol on a green background.
Door signs are used to clearly indicate to employees and visitors where particular doors are located within the premises. Door signs should be easy to read and clearly displayed to effectively communicate important information to your visitors such as where fire doors to ensure that employees and visitors and easily follow the correct procedure in the event of an emergency.
